Recent philosophical investigation on perception has often focused on perception of objects. When attention is given to the perception of properties it is often in the context of local debates; e.g. whether high-level properties feature in the content of perception.

By contrast, we aim to reveal property perception’s importance to a general account of perception by identifying and addressing these puzzles about property perception.

The aim of the project is to put together a team of investigators with complementary expertise, and illuminate property perception simultaneously from three angles:

  1. the metaphysics of properties,

  2. our capacity for thought and knowledge of properties,

  3. the nature of perception.
